Welcome to the EFR Resources Center. Whether you're a new waste generator or a long-time client, staying compliant with federal and state environmental regulations is critical. Below you'll find essential tools, links, and information to help manage your hazardous waste responsibilities—including registration portals, reporting systems, and guidance documents.

myRCRAid Registration
(EPA ID Number Application)

What It Is:
myRCRAid is the U.S. EPA’s online system for obtaining and managing your EPA Identification Number—a requirement for most hazardous waste generators.

Why It Matters:
Waste generators must have an EPA ID number to legally transport, treat, store, or dispose of hazardous waste.

EFR Tip: We can assist you with registration and ensure your site is correctly profiled.

DTSC eVQ
(Electronic Verification Questionnaire)

What It Is:
The California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) requires all hazardous waste generators to complete an annual Electronic Verification Questionnaire (eVQ).

Why It Matters:
Failure to submit your eVQ can result in fines or the inactivation of your EPA ID number.

Due Date: Typically due annually between July–September.

Get Started:

  • Access the DTSC eVQ Portal

  • eVQ User Instructions

EFR Tip: EFR can help ensure your generator status and contact information are accurately reported.

CDTFA Hazardous Waste Generator Fee Program

What It Is:
The California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA) collects fees from hazardous waste generators based on the volume and type of waste produced.

Why It Matters:
Generators producing 5 tons or more of hazardous waste in a calendar year must pay fees under this program.
